We know that every situation is unique. If you need personalized guidance regarding your case or available resources, our team is here to listen and guide you.

Can I apply for help if I'm working but have a low salary?

Yes. The aid is not exclusively for unemployed people. We assess the total income of the family unit against essential expenses to determine if there is a situation of economic vulnerability, even if you have a payslip.

Is the help only financial, or will you help me find a job?

Our approach is comprehensive: We don't just want to "plug a hole," we want to help you get ahead. Therefore, financial aid is usually linked to a Integration ItineraryThis means that, while we support you financially, we will work with you on:

  • Career guidance and improvement of your resume.

  • Skills training or training courses.

  • Access to local job boards. The ultimate goal is your autonomy and job stability.

Does this service have a cost?

No. All of the Commonwealth's Prevention and Inclusion programs are public, free and confidential services. We will never charge you for managing assistance, preparing a social report, or providing job guidance. Your only "investment" will be your commitment and active participation in the work plan we agree upon with you.

Are these subsidies indefinite or one-off?

It depends on the type of help and your situation:

  • Emergency Social Assistance: Son punctual and are intended to cover an urgent and unforeseen need (payment of an electricity bill, food, rent for a specific month, glasses or medication).
