What kind of help can I receive at the Women's Center / Equality Point?

We offer comprehensive, free, and personalized care to all women in the Commonwealth. Our multidisciplinary team provides support in three key areas:

  • Psychological Area: Emotional support and therapy to overcome crisis situations, low self-esteem or violence.

  • Legal Area: Information about your rights, separation/divorce processes, custody and guardianship, and protection measures.

  • Social and Labor Area: Guidance for job searching and access to social or housing resources.

Do I need to file a complaint to get assistance?

No, absolutely not. Our services are available to any woman who needs guidance or support. regardless of whether or not you have filed a complaintand whether you intend to do so in the future. We respect your timing and your decisions. Our priority is to inform you, empower you, and offer you a safe space where you can speak freely.

I feel like my partner is controlling me or treating me badly, but I don't know if it's violence. What should I do?

Gender-based violence is not just physical abuse. If you feel fear, control over your phone or money, insults, isolation from your family, or emotional blackmail, We are here to listen to youYou can request a confidential appointment with our social workers or psychologists. They will help you identify what is happening and give you tools to cope with the situation. Remember: You are not alone.

The Confidentiality is the fundamental pillar of our service. Everything you discuss with our professionals (psychologists, lawyers, or social workers) is protected by professional confidentiality.
